Piriformis Syndrome * Quick Fix *

21K views Oct 17, 2022

Piriformis syndrome is a condition in which the piriformis muscle is chronically tight, painful, and tender to the touch. The pain may be limited to the "back pocket" region of your buttock or it could radiate down the back of the leg toward the foot. When Piriformis syndrome radiates down the leg it may also be called sciatica. Exercise will increase blood flow to the piriformis area and surrounding muscles. The best way exercise can reduce pain associated with piriformis syndrome is when the exercise causes a contraction in the muscles opposite the piriformis muscle.
